Aaron Coleman

Aaron worked closely with the faculty and students at Minot State University to complete a varied edition of prints that represents the struggle of maintaining humanity when faced with our own diversity. In the image a caveman figure battles against an ancient ape intermixed with trilobites, developing hard shells to protect themselves from their own cannibal species. Overlaying the complex background is a collage of warped and twisted faces. All of the components that make up this print are presented as metaphors of our rejection of our own evolution and history in an attempt to stimulate conversation about acceptance.
