Printmaking can be a confusing world unto itself. There are so many processes and techniques that it is often hard for even an artist to identify them. Those not connected to the arts or printmaking specifically are often confused about what exactly a print is...Is it a copy? Is it an original? What is the difference between these prints and those sold at hobby and "art" stores? Compounding this confusion, much of contemporary printmaking combines multiple processes into one print. This page is dedicated to help In 2001 the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) put together a wonderful online interactive guide to the most prominent of processes. See it here!
