John Hitchcock

 John Hitchcock visited Flat Tail Press and Minot State in conjunction with the 2014 NOTSTOCK festival. Originally from Oklahoma, John now lives in Madison and teaches at the University of Wisconsin. An incredibly prolific artist, John is known for large print installations that often use military imagery and “hybrid creatures” from his ancestry in Oklahoma to consider the politics of assimilation and control.
 
John’s screen print with FTP has several variations including paper, cut, and additional layers.
